Things I never thought I'd actually say:
Today I told a student "I'm not failing you. You're failing yourself". Oh good lord, who is this woman and why does she say things like that?
I've also said "because I said so" (usually in response to "why do we have to do this")
And last year I found myself telling a student "You go to school to work, not for a fashion show". And proceded to freak out because I had identified with the parents in that Fresh Prince song.
